Mike's Bait Shop

No Refund Policy

ALL SALES ARE FINAL

Thank you for choosing Mike's Bait Shop. Due to the nature of our products and industry health regulations, we maintain a strict no refund, no return, and no exchange policy. All sales are final. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Live Bait Products

All sales of live bait products are final with no refunds, returns, or exchanges. This includes but is not limited to:

  • River fish

  • Emerald shiners

  • Leeches

  • Maggots

  • Any other live bait species

Due to health and safety regulations, biosecurity concerns, and the perishable nature of live bait, we cannot accept returns, offer refunds, or provide exchanges once the product has left our premises. Once purchased, the product becomes the sole responsibility of the customer.

2. Preserved Bait Products

All sales of preserved bait products are final with no refunds, returns, or exchanges. This includes preserved minnows, preserved worms, and all other preserved bait items. No refunds or exchanges will be provided once the product packaging has been opened or if the product has left our store.

3. No Exchanges or Store Credit

Mike's Bait Shop does not offer exchanges or store credit for any products. This policy applies to all purchases regardless of the reason, including but not limited to change of mind, incorrect product selection by the customer, or unused products.

4. No Cash Refunds

Under no circumstances will cash refunds be issued for any purchase. All payment transactions are final upon completion.

5. Quality Assurance

We take pride in providing high-quality bait products. All products are inspected before sale to ensure they meet our quality standards. We strongly encourage customers to carefully inspect their purchase before leaving the store. Any concerns about product quality must be raised immediately at the time of purchase, before leaving our premises.

6. Limited Exceptions

The only exception to this no refund policy is in cases where:

  • A manufacturing defect or product defect existed at the time of sale and was not reasonably discoverable by visual inspection at the time of purchase

  • We made a verifiable error in fulfilling your order (incorrect product provided that differs from what was ordered and paid for)

In such cases, the issue must be reported within 24 hours of purchase with valid proof of purchase (original receipt required). Mike's Bait Shop reserves the right to inspect the product and offer a replacement product of equal value at our sole discretion. No cash refunds or store credit will be issued under any circumstances.

7. Customer Responsibility

By purchasing from Mike's Bait Shop, customers accept full responsibility for:

  • Thoroughly inspecting all products before leaving the store

  • Selecting the appropriate product type and quantity for their needs

  • Proper storage, handling, and care of bait products after purchase

  • Understanding that bait viability, health, and effectiveness can be affected by environmental conditions, water temperature, storage conditions, and handling

  • Reading and retaining their receipt as proof of purchase

8. No Warranty

Mike's Bait Shop makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the effectiveness, longevity, or suitability of any bait product for a particular fishing purpose. Live bait is a natural product subject to natural variations in health, size, and behavior. Results may vary based on factors beyond our control.

9. Perishable Nature of Products

Customers acknowledge that bait products are highly perishable and time-sensitive. Once removed from our controlled environment, the condition of live bait can deteriorate rapidly due to temperature changes, improper handling, or extended transport time. We cannot be held responsible for product condition after it leaves our store.

10. Fraudulent Returns

Any attempt to return products through fraudulent means, misrepresentation, or charge-back disputes will be vigorously contested. We maintain records of all sales and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who attempts to circumvent this policy.

11. Price Accuracy

While we strive for price accuracy, in the event of a pricing error, Mike's Bait Shop reserves the right to cancel the transaction and issue a full refund if the error is discovered before the customer leaves the premises. Once the customer has left with the product, all sales remain final regardless of any pricing discrepancies.

12. Policy Modifications

Mike's Bait Shop reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of purchase will govern that transaction. Updated policies will be posted in-store and on our website.
